Why you should jailbreak your iPhone :)

Hi I would like to start things of by saying I have been an iPhone fan since 1st Gen and have owned the 1st Gen and now currently own the 2nd Gen the Black 16GB 3G iPhone. I would just like to point out if you don't understand the meaning of jail breaking.. it basiclly means you are opening up or cracking the secure file system on the iPhone created by apple. This then allows you to install third party apps , theams , ringtones ect ect. Here I am going to list the benefits of jailbreaking your iphone!

• Fix for Fring [aka Skype] allowing you to do free iphone to pc calls free over the 3G Connection :)
• Swirley MMS - Real MMS - send and recieve multi media msgs!
• Installer and Cydia - Very easy ways to download all your iphone goodies. - like app store.
• Cycorder(FREE) or 3G Video Recorder(10$) - allow you to record video with the iphone!!!
• BITE SMS - A much better SMS app for the iphone with msg forwording!!!!!
• Bluetooth - send and recieve files via bluetooth! is due very soon!!!
• Quake 1 & 3 for iphone!!!! just pure magic :D
• XGPS turn by turn voice navigation for the iphone! abit like a tomtom lol
• Winterboard - Spice up your iphone with themes , sounds , and lots of cool stuff!
• Categories - Organise all you apps into categories , games music fun ect.
• Insomnia - Keeps the wifi connection Alive even after screen has gone dark
• Backgrounder - Keeps Apps Alive even after screen has gone dark
• BossPrefs - Allows to have controll over many things like bluetooth , wifi ect
• iPhoneModem2 or PDANet - Allows you to use your iPhone as modem for your pc or laptop!
• Copy and paste! not installed this yet but there is a couple of apps that allow you to copy and past on the iPhone!
• Safari DL - Allows you to download pics , mp3s ect from the iPhone web browser!
• TuneWiki - karaokie on the iPhone :D
• Last.fm scrobbler app that scrobbles your tracks played in iTunes!

There is maybe more I have missed out .. but trust me jailbreak is the way to go!!! All of these apps are easy availble through Cydia or Installer! Now this is where the fun begins!

WARNING BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO JAILBREAK YOUR IPHONE TURN OFF PASS LOCK IF ONE IS ENABLED OR YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE!!!!

To Jailbreak! The whole process is very easy and can jailbreak the iPhone in a matter a minutes.

1. First Download and update your iphone to the latest firmware via iTunes
2. Download Quickpwn at http://www.quickpwn.com/downloads
3. Follow the onscreen instructions! tick Cydia and Installer ,and no quickpwn boot logo if you want.
4. After its finnished you reboot and that should be you jailbroken!!!!
5. if your still lost there are plenty of videos around YouTube to help you!

WARNING 2: AFTER YOU HAVE JAILBROKEN YOUR IPHONE AND SET IT UP AND A NEW FIRMWARE COMES OUT YOU WILL HAVE TO REJAILBREAK THAT LATEST FIRMWARE! That is all , Hopefully I have helped someone out! - and remember BE CAREFULL. :) Stewart - iPhoneSTU

Hello and welcome to anyone who cares to read this blog. My names Stewart and im from Dundee Scotland and this is my first time blogging so take it easy on me :D Anway I had always wanted to start a blog and untill recently I got an idea by a dream lol. I am always having weird and wonderfull dreams and thought what if i blog my dreams? so that when i wake up from one of my dreams i blog it right away as it will be fresh in my mind lol. So from now on im going to start blogging my dreams and keep them here so i can cheak back at them in the future lol. I will blog about other things also.. like tech , music and my life . will see what happens :) I just need to learn how to customize my blog now to look smart.
